Grading/Report Cards

Each student is given a music grade on their school report card. 

They will be graded on

1. Skills Assessment

2. Participation

3. Behavior

Grades are as follows:

5 = Exceeding grade level expectations of learning standards

4 = Meeting grade level expectations of learning standards

3 = Approaching grade level expectations of learning standards

2 = Performing below grade level expectations of learning standards

1 = Not yet performing grade level expectations of learning standards

All students in music class will start with a 4 in their grade book.  Students have the opportunity to achieve a '5' if they exceed expectations for their grade level.  Students will be tested daily through visual, aural and oral exams and may receive a 3, 2 or 1, if necessary.
