The structure of daily activities is carefully planned to encourage independence, self confidence and group cooperation through large group, small group and one-on-one participation in a variety of hands-on, interactive experiences. The activities will incorporate instruction and skill reinforcement in reading readiness, mathematics, writing, science and social studies, art, fine and gross motor skills, social/emotional skills and language development.
Go Math: Go Math – is a Common Core Standards aligned curriculum program which uses digital resources, manipulatives and games to ensure student learning. Student learning is assessed mid-chapter for intervention or enrichment, then again at the end to insure student learning.
Journeys: Journey’s is a Common Core Standards aligned reading and writing curriculum. Resources include: big books, songs, picture cards and games. This program also uses assessments, which allow the teacher to provide intervention or enrichment.
Fundations : Fundations provides all students in K-3 classrooms with a systematic program in the foundational skills for reading and spelling, emphasizing phonemic awareness, phonics-word study, high frequency word study, fluency, vocabulary, handwriting, and spelling.
I-Read: iRead builds the foundation for success for all K-2 children by providing them with systematic, explicit instruction in foundational reading. Beginning with alphabet knowledge, print concepts and phonological awareness , and working towards increasingly complex skills in word recognition, spelling, and fluency, iRead places all children on a predicable path to reading proficiently by Grade 3.
