Dear Families,

Welcome to Hillers School and to room 205.  This year is going to be an exciting year. Your child will learn many new skills both academic and social. We will work on developing social skills as well as learn how to be readers and writers. The children will be taught age appropriate math skills and be exposed to various science and social studies lesson.

   This is a year of LEARNING and GROWING. Each day your child will be   assigned homework. Homework will begin on Monday, September 8, 2014.

    Homework assignments will come in the form of a monthly “Jobs Chart”; it’s an easy way to communicate to you what’s assigned as well as to create a nice consistent pattern of homework for the children to follow. Please be sure to check the homework folders daily for any notes and sheets that help support homework assignments.

Here are a few housekeeping issues to get us started off on the right foot.

• Be sure to send in LUNCH or LUNCH MONEY daily for your child. Please let your child know that this year, they will NOT be having a snack time do to our academic schedule.

• Our School Day begins at 8:30 a.m. and Ends at 2:50 p.m. (drop off is at 8:20 am in the front of the building and Pick up is in front of the building as well). During inclement weather,  students report to the auditorium !!!!

• Lunch is from 12:10p.m. to 1:00pm
