OpenOffice.org is a free virus-free works suite (like Microsoft Office) that students can use to type papers and create presentations and spreadsheets.

Make sure that when you use OpenOffice.org software you save to the appropriate file type...for example:

OpenOffice will default to .odp file type.  You need to Save As a "Document" or .doc file, or a "Presentation" or .ppt file.  If you do not save correctly, you will not be able to open these files on our highly conservative and outmoded computers at school.

Google Docs is a free internet based works suite (like Microsoft Office) that students can use to type papers and access them at school.  Access www.google.com then look for it under "more" at the top of the page.  A login is necessary, but free.

Lastly, there is available on this page a document that explains the academic integrity policy of our school.  This document discusses policies regarding plagiarism and forgery.
