    This one is for the adults, kids. Come explore the art of storytelling with us during this special event. The theme for stories this month is school memories. This event will be held on Zoom.

    Create Your Own Tie-Dye
     
    Create Your Own Tie Dye
    Saturday, September 11, 7-8pm
     
    Bring one cotton or cotton blend item to tie-dye and a plastic bag. Dipping done by library staff. A face covering is required and must cover your nose and mouth throughout the event, and participants must practice physical distancing.
     
    No registration required. Rain date: Sept. 18.
     
     
    Special Health Insurance Enrollment Workshop
    Thursday, September 14, 6:30-7:30pm
     
    This workshop (in-person or online) from the NJ Citizen Action Education Fund will provide information on how to take advantage of the current health insurance special enrollment period. Learn how to get affordable health insurance, what financial help you may qualify for, how to use your benefits and avoid healthcare scams, and more.  
     
    Attendees who listen to the whole talk will be entered in a raffle for a $50 eVISA gift card. Registration is requested, but not required.
     
    Event repeated in Spanish on Sept. 16 at the same time.

    Meet on the library lawn to explore the retro art of Bargello by making coasters with a geometric pattern. Bargello is a form of needlepoint that is easy to learn and fun to do. 
     
    Please register by Monday, September 13. Rain date: Sept. 22. Masks worn over nose and mouth and physical distancing are required for this event.

    In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, join us on Zoom for Dr Javier Ávila's one-man show that blends comedy and poetry to shed light on issues of language, race, and equity.

    Looking for great entertainment mixed with stimulating conversation? Poets, comedians, musicians, and more are all welcome. Even if you would just like to provide a supportive listening ear for other performers, please join us for this hybrid version of our monthly Open Mic Night.
     
    COVID-19 precautions if attending in-person:
    • Registration in advance is required-maximum of 30 guests in-person. 
    • Please bring your own chair or blanket.

    ESL conversation classes through Zoom and in person are offered to those who are in a high intermediate to advanced English level. This class is designed to help you get comfortable speaking English in a social setting by learning new vocabulary and pronunciation. This class will be held via Zoom. In person class requires a mask to cover nose and mouth.
