A message from Ms. DePalma, Hillers School Media Specialist.
I am pleased to announce that I am the Media Specialist for Hillers School. It is a pleasure to be part of this amazing family here at Hillers. I have been working with the students of Hillers and have had the experience of being a classroom teacher for many years. I am very excited to work with the students in the Media Center with hopes of providing them with the 21st century skills they need to become successful learners.
I believe that the library is the hub for learning and student success. It fosters a community of learners, literacy, and inquiry that leads to higher academic achievement. Teachers will collaboratively work together to enhance the school curriculum and prepare students to be independent and effective users of information.
I am honored to be working with such wonderful students and a talented staff. It is my hope that the library will stimulate curiosity and encourage pleasurable reading and develop critical thinkers.
I will be spending some time getting everything together, but would appreciate any suggestions along the way. There are many areas on the website that I know you will find great value in. My goal is to make the website a tool for parents and teachers to utilize, as well as a learning tool and resource for students.
