My name is Mrs. Heerema and I currently teach second grade at Hillers' School! I have been teaching at Hillers for the last 22 years and have loved every minute of it. I was honored to be "Teacher of the Year" for the 2015-2016 school year. I am also a wife, a mother and a published author. I am inspired everyday by my amazing family, students, and especially by my beautiful daughter Jewel. Teaching is my passion and my favorite part of it all is watching my sweet students' faces light up when something clicks and they know that they can do whatever they set their minds to!
