Welcome to Mrs. King's Kindergarten

I am excited about the opportunity to get to know you and your child, and I'm looking forward to a happy and productive school year. 

Pick-up and Drop-off

Students line up by the playground door on the left-hand side and are picked up at 8:25 am.  This door will close at 8:40 am sharp (based on our school clock) after that time you are REQUIRED to obtain a late pass from the main office.  We kindly ask that you do not bang on the doors or classroom windows it frightens children and teachers are not allowed to open these doors after the designated times listed above.

Students are dismissed at 2:50 pm by the kindergarten playground area.  Students that are not picked up on time will be escorted to the main office. Parents will be required to sign them out of the main office.

Free Breakfast Program

Breakfast is served daily from 8:25am-8:40 am in our classroom.  Breakfast ends promptly at 8:40 am if you want your child to have breakfast please make sure that your child arrives on time. The Breakfast menu can always be found on the back side of the lunch calendar that comes home with your child each month.  Lunch and breakfast calendars can also be found on our district website.

Lunch

Kindergarten students have lunch from 10:20am-11:00am.  Please review and discuss the lunch menu daily with your child.  Your child will make their lunch selections in our classroom.  It is important that they know what they are having; whether it is a hot lunch, cold/swap out lunch, sun butter and jelly, yogurt bag or bringing lunch from home.  Never rely on your child to hand me lunch money; always put money in a sealed envelope or Ziploc bag with your child's name.  Place the envelope in your child's homework folder or make payments directly to the main office to avoid confusion.

Student lunch price:$2.50 per day

Reduced student lunch price: $.40

All students must pay the full price for lunch until they are approved for free or reduced lunch!! Applications are available in the main office; for your convenience applications can also be filled out online in the GENESIS Parent Portal under the Forms tab.  You can also download this year's application here.

You can make lunch payments online by registering for an account at www.myschoolbucks.com (you will need your child's school-issued id number which can be found on your child's homework folder or the kindergarten handbook distributed at back to school night.)  MySchoolBucks also has apps available for download in the app store.  Information on MySchoolBucks can be found here.  The online system is a great way to keep track of your child's lunch account and all payments.  Any money you load onto your child's lunch account stays in their account!

Snack Time

Snack time is at 1:00 pm (times may vary depending on the schedule); please send a small healthy snack with your child daily.  Please note that the school does not provide students with a snack.
