PUBLISHING CLUB

  • This club is based on the Journalism and Graphic Design course and is designed for students who wish to work on the staff of the school newspaper, learn how to publish books from concept to publication. Members of the club will be working independently and collaboratively as they move through the journalistic process of investigating, researching, interviewing, and writing, as well as researching, conceptualizing, and designing. Additionally, students will learn the basics of laying out and publishing a newspaper and novels using Adobe InDesign. Students may choose to be part of the Journalistic process, the artistic design process, or both. Though the club is open to and welcomes all members, it is recommended for students who enjoy writing and have an interst in pursuing journalism and/or graphic design in the future.

    Requirements: Students must sign an equipment and plagerism contract

    Club meets: Every other Thursday at 2:30

Graphic Design Club Open Studio

  • This club is based on the Graphic Design course and is designed for students who wish to use the adobe suite and expand on what they have learned.  Members of the club will be working independently and collaboratively as they move through the design process. Additionally students may wish to enhance thier portfolios with work created during club time. Though the club is open to and welcomes all members, it is recommended for students who have an interst in pursuing a career in the arts, and for those who already have a basic foundation working with the adobe suite.

    Requirements: Students must sign an equipment and plagerism contract

    Club meets: Every other Thursday at 2:30

    • Peer and teacher critiques
    • Art work for the School/Community

The Interact Club

  • This clubs Mission is to make a difference in the community through service work. The club is open to all Hackensack High School Students who are willing to dedicate thier time to helping others in our community.  . .

    Requirements: Students must be willing to dedicate thier time to service work
