Hiller teachers, reading specialists, and administrators, designed Hillers School Curricular Calendars. The Calendars are based upon New Jersey State Standards, developmental reading behaviors, and the components identified by literacy research as Best Practice. The Calendars present an instructional roadmap of the content to teach across the curriculum. The grade-level specific Curricular Calendars focus on the instruction of essential skills at each grade level. Since teaching is always responsive to needs and strengths of students, teachers should consider these Calendars as constant, yet, view them with some flexibility and tailor as needed.
