Hello Parents/Students/Guardians,

I am very proud and honored to be working as an eighth grade Science teacher at the Hackensack Middle School for the 2017-2018 school year.  The 8th grade Science class will cover Physics and Chemistry.  You will find that I am a dedicated professional with an enthusiasm for the teaching profession and a drive to help students reach their potential.

I believe that each student is unique and requires a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. I plan on helping students reach their potential in these areas by providing an atmosphere that is secure, supports risk-taking behaviors, and encourages a sharing of ideas.

A copy of the 2017-2018 Science syllabus/handbook has been enclosed, which contains the information needed to successfully prepare homework assignments, be ready for class, and participate in all activities throughout the year. Until familiarization of the syllabus/handbook has been achieved, this handbook should be utilized as a reference before coming to class, turning in homework assignments, taking tests, and preparing laboratory assignments, etc. This will help students be successful learners.
