Welcome to the Art classroom website!

I will try to communicate to all parents grades 5 through 8 what is going on in our classroom. We do not run on a traditional weekly schedule.  So I will post what projects are presently being created in each grade level.  I will also provide you with any information on upcoming events such as art shows and exhibits.

I have distributed to each student a clear description of my grading policies.  Rarely do my students have homework, so my expectations for production in the classroom are very high.  I will sometimes request that students bring random items from home. There is never anything that needs to be purchased. 

ALL students know that I am very fair and flexible.  I DO NOT grade on artistic ability!!!  I don't think that is a fair way to grade in classes that are largely based on creativity and development of ideas.  All my students know they are graded on EFFORT, class participation and general appropriate behavior.

I am always available if they have questions, need extra help or need to make-up work.  I am usually in my room either 3rd or 4th periods during my lunch.  Arrangements can always be made if students must come after school.
