Reading is so very important for your education and for your life.  I try to stress the importance of finding a genre of reading that particularly interests YOU.  Do this by asking yourself, "What really interests me?"  Is it cars, or sports, or mysteries, or animals?  Once you find a book that captures your attention, it won't be such a chore for you.  Believe me, I was the same way in school until I found Nancy Drew Mysteries.  They became something I looked forward to reading and all of you children in my classes know that I still enjoy mysteries and horror novels to this day!  So I ask that you always have a book that YOU'RE interested in your backpack at all times.  It doesn't have to be science related, just something you enjoy!  Follow the links on this site to get some great suggested reading material!
